The Device Configuration window provides access to available configuration parameters for the currently selected device:
On the left pane of the window the parameter tree is displayed.
Click on an item in the tree structure to display and configure the parameters in the central pane.
Alternatively, you can use the “Search parameter...” bar in the left pane to browse directly to a specific parameter.

The parameter search bar accepts parameter names as well as configuration item values. As you type in parameter/value names or part of them, possible matches are shown. Click on the relevant parameter to display it in the Configuration pane and the corresponding tree menu in the Parameters pane to the left. |
The right pane includes:
Help, displaying the help page for the specific parameter group;
Not Default Parameters, displaying all parameters that are different from the default values of the device whether they have already been written to the device or not;
Modified Parameters, displaying a list of parameters that have been changed but not yet written to the device or configuration file;
Terminal (only available with a connected device), allowing you to verify online reading, as well as send command strings to the connected reader;
“Write Configuration” button (only available with a connected device), to write the current configuration parameter values to the connected device.

The central pane also includes the following icons:
Fixed Retail Scanners have an additional button to Export Full CSV Configuration:
Clicking on the Export Configuration button, a preview of the generated configuration is displayed:
The following options are available:
Dowload report, to download the text report of the current configuration (.pdf format);
Print 2D barcode, to display the exported Datamatrix programming label;
Print 1D barcode, to display the exported 1D code programming label.
Clicking on “Print 2D barcode” or “Print 1D barcode” displays the following window:
By default, an all-in-one programming label is created allowing to change all the parameters included in the generated configuration through a single scan.
Disable the “Concatenate” button to create a different label for each configured parameter, e.g. when individual parameters of the generated configuration must be changed at the user’s request:
Enable the “Discrete Label Programming Mode” button (either with the Concatenate button enabled or disabled) to create the Enter and Exit Configuration labels, which would otherwise be included in the programming label(s):
You can also download a .pdf file containing the programming label by clicking on “Download pdf”.
Save Configuration
Clicking on the “Save Configuration” button saves the current configuration in .xml format.
Load Configuration
Clicking on the “Load Configuration” button opens a window to select and load a previously saved configuration.
Read Configuration
Clicking on the “Read Configuration” button reads the configuration currently saved on your device.
Write Configuration
Clicking on the “Write Configuration” button writes the current configuration parameter values to the connected device.
Export Full CSV Configuration (Fixed Retail Scanners only)
Clicking on the "Export Full CSV Configuration” button saves the current configuration on all interfaces in a CSV format.
